Conor Mulroy has been writing, performing, and playing music since the age of 8. He placed 2nd in the High School Division of the New England Classical guitar competition in 1997 and 1998, and since that time has received a degree in music and performed throughout the Northeast with Adam Larrabee, Impromptu, and the Audio Group Alignment. He played mandolin with the Wyoming based group Steam Powered Airplane throughout the west in 2009. He is currently pursuing a master’s degree in music composition and lives in Portland, Maine.
“On Conor Mulroy's latest CD Salinger, the playing is spotless; the group is led by Mulroy on mandolin, nylon-string guitar, and piano, and consists of guitarist John McGann (so impressive as one of the Wayfaring Strangers), Crooked Still’s bassist Corey DiMario, and Grand National Fiddle Champion Tristan Clarridge.
