Conor Mulroy’s 16th album Still Water, featuring Tristan Clarridge on cello and Simon Chrisman on hammered dulcimer, consists of 38 minutes of music organized into a ten part suite. It was recorded live in a chapel over the course of five days.

The music was arranged collectively and as the pieces came together the musicians found a balanced sound blending guitar, cello, and dulcimer. Throughout the album the virtuosic playing and improvising of the musicians is featured. After being engineered, edited, and mixed by Tristan Clarridge, Dave Sinko mastered the record.

The title Still Water refers to the development of melodic material throughout the suite while the harmony remains fairly consistent, like a fast moving river whose surface appears to be still water. The first single will be released on July 14, 2023 and the full album will be available September 14.
